Geography Eagles Mere is located at 41°24'41" North, 76°34'50" West (41.411459, -76.580595). According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 5.8 km² (2.2 mi²). 5.3 km² (2.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 8.44% water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 153 people, 84 households, and 51 families residing in the borough. The population density is 28.7/km² (74.4/mi²). There are 378 housing units at an average density of 70.8/km² (183.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 99.35% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.65% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.65% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 84 households out of which 6.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.6% are married couples living together, 4.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 38.1% are non-families. 36.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 19.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
