Eagarville is a village located in Macoupin County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 128.

Geography

Eagarville is located at 39°6'38" North, 89°47'3" West (39.110422, -89.784289). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.4 km² (0.9 mi²). 2.4 km² (0.9 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 128 people, 45 households, and 34 families residing in the village. The population density is 53.1/km² (137.5/mi²). There are 52 housing units at an average density of 21.6/km² (55.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 45 households out of which 33.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.9% are married couples living together, 4.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 24.4% are non-families. 22.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.84 and the average family size is 3.38. In the village the population is spread out with 31.3% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 26.6% from 25 to 44, 23.4% from 45 to 64, and 12.5% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 124.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 109.5 males. The median income for a household in the village is $31,667, and the median income for a family is $40,500. Males have a median income of $32,250 versus $25,000 for females.
