Dylan Thomas Centre

The Dylan Thomas Centre is an arts centre located in Swansea, Wales. At one time the city's Guildhall, the building was renovated during Swansea's time as European City of Literature for use as a literary centre, and renamed "Ty Llen" ("house of literature"). When the original celebrations were over, it was re-designated as the "Dylan Thomas Centre". It was opened in 1995 by American ex-President Jimmy Carter, one of the world's most famous Dylan Thomas enthusiasts (others include Bob Dylan), and now houses a permanent exhibition on the life and work of Dylan Thomas, as well as a restaurant and bar, bookshop, conference rooms and a small lecture theatre.
