Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 16.2 km² (6.3 mi²). 16.2 km² (6.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.16% is water. Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 2,773 people, 1,040 households, and 809 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 171.0/km² (443.1/mi²). There are 1,078 housing units at an average density of 66.5/km² (172.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 97.91% White, 0.47% Black or African American, 0.07% Native American, 0.87% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.25% from other races, and 0.43% from two or more races. 1.01% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 1,040 households out of which 36.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.5% are married couples living together, 8.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 22.2% are non-families. 18.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.66 and the average family size is 3.06. In the CDP the population is spread out with 26.1% under the age of 18, 4.4% from 18 to 24, 28.9% from 25 to 44, 27.5% from 45 to 64, and 13.0% who are 65 years of age or older.
