Drug Holiday

A drug holiday, sometimes referred to as a structured treatment interruption (STI) is the intentional discontinuation of a medication, usually for a short period of time. STI's are used in several fields of medicine. Some HIV researchers believe that STI can be useful to patients, and may actually improve the patient's immune system.
