The Dreyfus Corporation, a Mellon Financial Corporation subsidiary.
Alfred Dreyfus was a Jewish French military officer, best known for being the focus of the 'Dreyfus affair', i.e. his arrest and conviction on charges of treason, generally considered both at the time and now to be groundless and the result of Antisemitism.

*Ren Dreyfus was a Jewish French Grand Prix automotive race car driver, who won 36 victories including some over the Nazi German government sponsored Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union teams, and as a result settled in New York city during World War II, where he opened a well known French restaurant.
