Dreamscape (Dream)

A Dreamscape is the faux-reality "world" that exists within a dream. Those capable of lucid dreaming claim to be able to control this world and indeed reshape it and its inhabitants. Several psychological studies have been carried out to on how the dreamscape differs from waking perception. Commonly, Dreamscapes will appear realistic at first, but upon later analysis (usually upon awakening), obvious flaws in the world can be detected. This can be attributed to suspension of disbelief, as most non-lucid dreamers are unable to distinguish the events that occur inside the dream from reality, allowing for a certain measure of unlikely events to occur without the dreamer noticing.
