Dragan Marusic
Dragan Marušič
(born
1953
) is a
Slovene
mathematician
. From
1968
to
1972
he attended
gymnasium
in
Koper
. He studied undergraduate mathematics at the
University of Ljubljana
. He completed his Ph.D. at the
University of Reading
under the supervision of Crispin Nash-Williams. His main research field is the algebraic
graph theory
, where he researches the
symmetry
of
graphs
and the functionality of
finite groups
on combinatorial objects. He is the founder of an
algebraic graph theory
and a theory of
permutation groups
in Slovenia. He is a professor at the Pedagogical faculty of the
University of Ljubljana
. In
2002
he received the
Zois award
for his topmost scientific achievement in the field of
graph theory
and
algebra
.
