Dr. Jerry Griffin

Dr. Jerry Griffin is a philosopher, educator, author, poet, and lyricist. He specializes in individual and organizational behavior, training, police management, information technology, and business and product development. He served two years in the United States Peace Corps where he was a Senior Lecture/Consultant at the Institute of Development Management in Botswana, Africa. While with IDM he performed consulting assignments within the government and public sectors and taught management courses in Botswana, Swaziland and Lesotho. He was Vice President of Information Networking at Blue cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma and has taught administration of Justice at several United States universities. His experiences include service as a United States Marine, a Tulsa, Oklahoma Police officer and sheriffs Major and a United States Treasury agent. His Philisophy of Education is founded in the responsibility of the learner and he believes that every individual should leave thoughtful and purposeful footprints while they inhabit this planet. He has written several journal articles, a series in Conflict Management simulations, and a series of audio Compact Discs on self-improvement. earned a B.S. in Business Administration from The University of Tulsa, an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University, and an Ed.D. From The University of Tulsa. His published works include: Machiavelli on Management by Greenwood Publishers of New York, and a book on Suicide Prevention. In 1983 he penned The Ballad of Flight 007 Ballad of Flight 007 commemorating the tragedy of Korean Air Lines Flight 007 which was shot down by the Russian Air Force.
