Dj BoboDJ BoBo is one of the most successful Eurodance artists. A native of Switzerland, he released three singles, before finally achieving success with his 1993 superhit "Somebody Dance with Me." But after the smashhit "Somebody Dance With Me," he continued surprising Eurodance fans with songs such as "Take Control", "Everybody", "Keep On Dancing", "Love Is All Around" and with one of his best hits of all time "Freedom." DJ BoBo started as a DJ and was quite succesfull one, (he actually made a dj-comeback in 2004 to play some classic sets in a Swiss club.) his other passion was breakdancing, You can see his great dancing skills in his many highly regarded concerts, which were so well constructed and performed that many artists could learn from them. DJ BoBo's dancing crew has always had the same core, DJ BoBo himself (Ren Baumann), Curtis and Daniel. Around 1993 Ren met Nancy Rentzsch, who later joined to DJ BoBo's team in 1995 along with Tanja Geuder. Ren and Nancy were a couple and in 2002 they got married and had a child, Jamiro. Early on DJ BoBo's career, he was joined by Eurodance-guru, Axel Breitung, who helped to make DJ BoBo songs succesfull, he and Ren still makes songs together. DJ BoBo won many golds for many of his songs and was not only sucessful in Europe but in Israel, South Africa, Japan, the South America, etc. Later in his career, he continued his Eurodance songs with a different style and many of his other songs sounded more like pop rather rather than Eurodance. However, other hits such as "Pray", "Shadows of the Night", "Celebrate", "Togeter" etc. maintain the original Eurodance sound. Nowadays DJ BoBo's songs are mostly pop, but he shows that he can still make great, powerful Eurodance tracks, like "Moscow" (2001) "No More Pain" (2003) and "Amazing Life" (2005) One of DJ BoBo's favourite songs of his, "Let the Dream Come True" became one of his most sucessful works. DJ BoBo hasn't stopped working like many other Eurodance artists. In 2002, he released "Chihuahua" which was very well-received throughout Europe, despite not being considered a Eurodance song. Nonetheless, it was soon used for a Coca-Cola commercial. "Chihuahua" was the second best selling single of 2003 world wide and DJ BoBo's biggest success so far. It sold more than million in France alone. In December, 2004, the Cantonese version of this song was rewritten by Wyman Wong as the theme song of the same product. This version was then performed by Joey Yung. After "Chihuahua", no one was able to recognise the mastermind behind the famous Eurodance hits such as "Freedom", "Love Is All Around", "Take Control", "Everything Has Changed" etc. DJ BoBo released a new album in 2005 called "Pirates of Dance".
