Dirty DancingDirty Dancing is a 1987 movie, starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey. This movie also featured the late Jerry Orbach as Jennifer Grey's father. The movie was distributed by Vestron Pictures. In this film, Baby is a wealthy teenager vacationing at a resort in the Catskills in the early Sixties. When her family arrives, she is an idealistic young woman who has mostly interacted with members of her own social class. Throughout her stay at the resort, she has a relationship with Johnny, a dancing instructor who works there. They become each other's first true love, but face the difficulties of coming from different worlds. "The summer of 1963 innocent 17-year-old Baby (Grey) vacations with her parents at a Catskill's resort. One evening she is drawn to the staff quarters by stirring music. There she meets Johnny (Swayze), the hotel dance instructor, who is as experienced as Baby is nave. Baby soon becomes Johnny's pupil in dance and love."
