For more information, read the Guide to Votes for Deletion. Dippet is an east coast Scottish slang term, it is an adjective applied to dogs as in 'dippet hound'. The term refers to a dogs apparent puzzlement due to not being able to hold onto two concepts at the same time and the pained expression it displays as it tries to understand what is being asked of it. It is a prerequisite that the dog should be able to understand and knows that it is appearing stupid. See Also
