Dilip Sardessai

Dilip Sardesai (born August 8, 1940) is a former cricketer. He is the only Goan-born cricketer ever to play for India. Sardesai was a right-handed middle order batsman and represented India in the 1960s and early 1970s. He was an instrumental figure in India's historic win against West Indies on Caribbean soil in the early 70s. A very popular cricketer, he was fondly nicknamed "Sardee-man".
