Dilated Peoples

The Dilated Peoples are a group of alternative rappers who have achieved great fame in the underground hip hop community, though they have had little mainstream success. DJ Babu, Evidence and Rakaa began formed in 1992 (see 1992 in music) and released "Third Degree" and "Work the Angles", which became a hit in clubs and among critics. They soon signed to Capitol Records for The Platform (2000, see 2000 in music) to critical acclaim. Their 2001 (see 2001 in music) album is Expansion Team. Their latest (2004, see 2004 in music) album is Neighborhood Watch, which debuted at #55 on USA's Billboard 200 Albums Chart. It features the single Who's Who, which was also included as a track on the Need For Speed: Underground Soundtrack, and debuted and peaked at #35 on the UK Singles Chart. Dilated Peoples
