Digital Media Framework

The Digital Media Framework is a set of technologies for creating, managing, and distributing digital media. International Business Machines Corporation, Adobe Systems, Apple Computer, Inc., and Cisco Systems, Inc. together developed the Framework to compete with Microsoft Corporation. The standards the Framework supports include the Java programming language, J2EE, ISMA, the Moving Picture Experts Group, Extensible Markup Language, the Open Mobile Alliance, the 3rd Generation Partnership Project, and GNU/Linux.
