Diehard Conservatism

Diehard is a term used to describe the hardline wing of the British Conservative Party, historically most prominent in the first half of the 20th century. Diehards opposed staunchly the granting of Irish Home Rule in the Edwardian era and Indian Home Rule in the 1930s.
