Diablo Canyon Power Plant

The Diablo Canyon Power Plant has two Westinghouse-designed 4-Loop pressurized-water nuclear reactors operated by Pacific Gas & Electric. Located in Avila Beach, California, each unit generates 1,087 MWe and together produce about 18 billion kWh of electricity annually. Unit 1 has been operating since November 1984; Unit 2 since August 1984.
