Deutsche Film-aktiengesellschaft

Deutsche Film-Aktiengesellschaft, better known as DEFA, was the national film company in the German Democratic Republic (GDR/DDR).

Film studios

The films produced at the DEFA studios after World War II include approximately 950 feature films, 820 animated films, and more than 5,200 documentaries and newsreels.
