Derek Conway

Derek Conway was also a character from The Bill played by Ben Roberts. Derek Leslie Conway (February 15, 1953) is a British Conservative politician, and Member of Parliament for Old Bexley and Sidcup, Sir Edward Heath's old seat, since 2001. Before then he had been MP for Shrewsbury and Atcham from 1974, but lost his seat in the 1997 election. He was a junior minister during John Major's rule. He is a Eurosceptic (even voting against the Single European Act that had the backing of Margaret Thatcher's government), and supports the return of capital punishment.
