Delta Motor Corporation
was a
South African
car manufacturer, which was created through a management buy-out after
General Motors
(GM) divested from
South Africa
in
1986
. In
1997
, GM acquired a 45 per cent stake, and in
2003
the company became a fully-owned subsidiary, General Motors South Africa. It assembles
Opel
,
Isuzu
and
Suzuki
models for sale in South Africa and for export to other
right hand drive
markets in the region. It also imports and services other GM models.
