Delay Jitter

Delay jitter is one kind of jitters referred in RTSP. It is the fluctuation/variation of end-to-end delay from one packet to the next packet within the same packet stream/connection/flow. Example: Packets are transmitted at the interval of 20 msec. If the 2nd packet reaches after 30 msec with respect to the 1st packet arrival. Jitter = -10 msec. This is referring as dispersion. If the 2nd packet reaches after 10 msec with respect to the 1st packet arrival. Jitter = +10 msec. This is referring as clumping.
