Daydream

Having a daydream, or daydreaming, is a form of consciousness that involves a low level of conscious effort. Daydreaming usually consists of indulging or engaging in a fantasy while awake. One who daydreams is sometimes seeking to fufill a dream or hope in their mind. When using the term daydreaming in many contexts, one implies a yearning or wish they would like to see materalize that is considered to be unrealistic. "Daydream" is a Pop/R&B album from the artist Mariah Carey. It is the first album ever by a female solo-artist to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 200 Album Chart. It includes the #1 hits: Fantasy, One Sweet Day, which holds the record for most consecutive weeks at #1 with 16 weeks, and Always Be My Baby. Also, Fantasy is the first song ever by a female solo-artist to Debut at #1 and hold the position for 8 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, and the second song to do so in Billboard History next to Michael Jackson's You Are Not Alone, which held the #1 position for one week. As of October of 2002, The Daydream album has sold 18 million copies in the United States and approximatly 24 million around the world.
