David Rockefeller

David Rockefeller, (b. 15 June 1915), is the son of oil tycoon, John D. Rockefeller, Jr.. He was born in New York City, graduated from Harvard in 1936, and received his Ph.D. from Chicago in 1940. In 1946 he joined the staff of the Chase National Bank (latter the Chase Manhattan Bank, and now JP Morgan Chase & Co.). He was chairman of the board 1969-1981 and chief executive officer 1969-1980. Since 1981 he has served on the bank's International Advisory Committee, along with Henry Kissinger, George P. Shultz, Bill Bradley and Rahmi Koc. While at the Chase Manhattan Bank he founded the development project for the World Trade Center, which was strongly supported by his brother, Nelson Rockefeller. He was Vice Director of the Council on Foreign Relations (1949-1985), Vice President (1950-1970), and Chairman (1970-1985), founder and Honorary Chairman of the Trilateral Commission as well as attending some of the secretive Bilderberg Group meetings. He is also Non-Executive Chairman of Rockefeller Center Properties Trust, Non-Executive Chairman of RCP Holdings, Honorary Chairman of the Americas Society, Honorary Chairman of Rockefeller University, Chairman of the Rockefeller University Council, and Chairman Emeritus of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. He has acted as spokesman for the U.S. business community on several occasions. His Memoirs were published in 2002. His net wealth is 2.5 billion dollars making him the 215th wealthiest person in the world. He has a son named David Rockefeller Jr..
