David Medina

David Medina (born 1958) is a justice of the Texas Supreme Court. He graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1980, and was a 1989 graduate from South Texas College of Law. Medina formerly served as a state district judge in Houston, a position to which he was appointed by George W. Bush (then Governor) in 1996. He was the first Hispanic Republican to win a countywide election in Harris County. After leaving his office, he worked as associate general counsel for Cooper Industries. He also served as general counsel to Rick Perry before being appointed to his current position by Perry. He is married with two children. Medina, David
