David Bisbal

David Bisbal (born June 5, 1979) is a Spanish singer. Bisbal is the second finalist of the reality show Operacin Triunfo, which was won by Rosa, a show that would later be mirrored in the United States by Protagonistas De La Musica. Bisbal was born in the city of Almeria, and he has two older siblings, a brother, Jos Mara Bisbal (born 1968) and a sister, Mara del Mar Bisbal (born 1971). Bisbal left school because he did not like studying. Then, his parents found him a job. But Bisbal was becoming interested in music, so soon, he auditioned for an orchestra, named Orquesta Expresiones. Bisbal performed in the orchestra as a singer, leading to his participation in Operacin Triunfo. Bisbal was signed up by record company Vale Music, which sent him to Miami to record his first CD album. Bisbal's first album, Corazn Latino (Latin Heart), has been a smash hit in Spain and all over Latin America, so much that he had to schedule a 2002-2003 tour that has covered places such as the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and a good proportion of the rest of South America and Central America, as well as the United States. It is estimated Bisbal has already earned over one million US dollars in his short career as a singer. His second album is called Bulera, and it has been as big a hit as his first album.
