Dave Niehaus

Dave Niehaus is an American sportscaster. He has been the lead play-by-play announcer for Major League Baseball's Seattle Mariners since their inaugural season in 1977. Niehaus (who was employed by the California Angels prior to joining the Mariners) is moderately well-known by baseball fans across the United States for his catchphrases, including "My, oh my!" or "It will... fly away!" which he uses as home run calls, and "Get out the rye bread and the mustard, Grandma, it's Grand Salami time!" which he says whenever a Mariner player hits a grand slam. Niehaus is among the 2005 nominees for the Ford C. Frick Award. Niehaus, Dave Niehaus, Dave
