DarknutDarknuts are enemy-creatures from The Legend of Zelda game-series by Nintendo. Darknuts are thickly armoured, powerful and dangerous yet slow-moving enemies (the exception being Zelda 2 where they moved quite fast) that tend to cause lots of damage and often have to be attacked from behind as it contains their only weakspot. They first appeared armed with a short/medium-sized sword and a shield. In Ocarina of Time, however, they are armed with large axes and after a chunk of their armour falls off they become much faster but more vulnerable. In Wind Waker they come in many variations, some armed only with large swords and some also carrying shields. These versions can be stripped of their armour through properly placed attacks revealing the creature's face for the first time which seems to be that of a doberman. These Darknuts will still attack even when you knock their weapons from their hands in a form of hand-to-hand combat resembling martial-arts.
