Daniel Cornelius Danielssen

Daniel Cornelius Danielssen (July 4 1815 - July 13 1894), of Bergen, Norway. Worked with Gerhard Armauer Hansen discovering the bacteria causing leprosy, and made Bergen a world centre of lepra research in the middle of the nineteenth century. See also: Danielssen-Boeck disease
