Dancewriting

DanceWriting is a form of Dance notation. Developed in 1972 by Valerie Sutton it is part of a greater body of work called MovementWriting or the International Movement-Writing Alphabet DanceWriting uses figurative and abstract symbols on a five staff stave (the Western music notation stave). It is similar in appearnce to Benesh Movement Notation. There are many other forms of Dance notation, such as Labanotation and Benesh Movement Notation.
