Dan Petrescu

Dan Petrescu (born 22 December 1967 in Bucharest, Romania) is a former international football (soccer) player, who played for English Premiership club Chelsea and the Romanian national team. Petrescu moved to Chelsea in 1995, in a 2.3 million pound transfer from Sheffield Wednesday. He also played for Bucharest Club FC Steaua Bucuresti. Petrescu registered 95 caps for the Romanian national team. He made his debut for the squad in 1989, and played and scored in the 1994 and 1998 World Cups. He also played in Euro 1996. Petrescu is currently pursuing a career as a manager. He recently resigned from FC Rapid Bucharest, after only six games and four months at the helm. Petrescu, Dan Petrescu, Dan
