Dan Koppen

Dan Koppen is the starting center for the New England Patriots. He was born in Dubuque, Iowa on August 12, 1978, and went to Boston College. The hometown Patriots then selected him in the 2003 NFL Draft to be the backup to Damien Woody, then their starting center. But that year, Woody went down with an injury, and Koppen played very well in his place. After the Patriots championships, Woody was allowed to sign with the Detroit Lions, leaving Koppen as the starter for good. He once again helped them win a Super Bowl in 2004.
