Dame Jean Conan Doyle

Dame Jean Lena Annette "Billy" Conan Doyle (aka Lady Bromet) (1912-1997) was the daughter of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. For most of her life she was the legal copyright holder of some of the publishing rights to the Sherlock Holmes character. In the late 1980's she was angered by the producers of Star Trek The Next Generation when the used the characters of Sherlock Holmes, Dr. John H. Watson, and Professor Moiriarty without permission. As a schoolgirl she was a classmate and friend of Anna Lee who was her fathers god-daughter.
