Daliburgh

Daliburgh (. Like Lochboisdale, Daliburgh has undergone major changes in recent years. The hospital, built in 1894, was closed in 2000 and replaced by a facility in Benbecula. The hospital is to be converted into an elderly care centre in the next couple of years keeping the original building intact within the new building. There is a new office development made available by Western Isles Enterprise and awaiting tenants. Facilities available in Daliburgh are the Post Office, the Co-op supermarket, Borrodale Hotel (public internet access available) and Scottish Hydro Electric shop. Also there is Daliburgh School (which has an independent nursery/after school club next door) and the community centre (which has a fitness suite available). There are St. Peters Roman Catholic church and a Church of Scotland in Daliburgh.
