Dale Hunter

Dale Hunter (born July 31, 1960) is a former Canadian ice hockey player. Dale Hunter was acquired by the Washington Capitals in a blockbuster trade with the Quebec Nordiques. This trade mirrored the Rod Langway deal in that the Caps sent resources (in this case, the draft pick that became Joe Sakic) that led to the other team gaining significant post-season success. However, Dale Hunter served as a great captain for the Capitals and was one of the most courageous players to ever skate in the NHL. Hunter was feared and respected by most people that came across him. Hunter is currently the owner, president, and head coach of the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League.
