Dale CharlesDJ Dale Charles is one of the founding fathers of the New England and San Diego Techno, House and Rave scenes, one of the early and most active touring DJ's of North America's Rave events and clubs in 1991-1997. Along with DJ's Ed Fritz, Kevin Fennelly, Willy LeMay and Sean Sweeney, Dale Charles was one of the first DJ's to organize events and play House and Balearic Music in New England in the late 80's and is credited for New Englands first Rave party, "Pure" in June of 1992 co-organized and hosted by Portland Maine's KC & The Sunrise Gang, who organized and hosted several other Portland events with international guest DJ's common to the Global Rave and Techno circuit. In 1991 and 1992 San Diegan DJ's Dale Charles, Daeman, Jon Bishop and Mark E Quark headlined many of the hugely popular Evar, Playskool, Global Underground and even more creativly underground grass-roots Microrave parties, often commanding the entire night as almost a rotating Dj quartet, thanks in part to the generous efforts of Thunderhill and company. 1991 and 1992 are recognized as birth years of the US Rave and Music Event scenes as they are called, creating a music movement perhaps not seen since the late 60's due to the advent of open minded music lovers looking to become more involved and even interactive in technologically advanced music events with intelligent lighting, breaking free of ho-hum club and bar scenes. It is generally accepted that between 1988-1993 the entire global House and electronic music community experienced the beginning of a new era in musical expression, technology and art form.
