D.h. RecordsD.H. Records is an independent record label founded on October 3, 2002, by David "Hunt" Agosta. (partners with wife Elaine and step daughter Amanda). A gospel recording label created to glorify Jesus. Mr. Agosta, being an ordained minister, began writing his own music in 1999. While looking to cut an album, friends in gospel music advised him of not signing with a major label. By signing, he risked having the music edited and re-worked for commercial purposes. Seeing the risk, he took a leap of faith and started his own. He credits God, friends in music, and professional wrestling for the label's creation. A fan of Ric Flair, Agosta looked at Flair's 2001-2002 storyline; as WWE co-owner. Flair's ownership of WWE RAW, and the growth of WWE SmackDown!, gave ideas to organize everything. At the same time, Jeff Jarret and Jerry Jarret started . Watching the Jarrets' company, cemented the creation of D.H. Records. Agosta said, "The NWA World Heavyweight Title as TNA's focal point, shows independent business can achieve credibility". With $375.00 and Coleman Recording Studio (in Panama City Beach), Agosta recorded a low budget EP titled, "I Want to Live for You" ("You" being God). In one year, D.H. Records made $420.00 in net profit. Agosta said, "The Holy Spirit helped, but if Jay-Z (founder of Roc-A-Fella Records) could do it, so could I." In 2003, released a Christmas EP titled Merry Christmas America. It pays tribute to the military and "heros of 9/11". While not selling fast as the first EP (due to local distribution), Agosta calls D.H. Records a young label. Plans to release an LP, with a higher budget, in October 2005. This album's success determines if D.H. Records gets closer to full time work and signing other artists.
