Cycle Of The Werewolf"Cycle of the Werewolf" is a horror novel released in 1983 by Stephen King, featuring illustrations by renowned comic book artist Bernie Wrightson. Weighing in at a mere 127 pages, each chapter is basically a very short story unto itself. It is not regarded among this author's best work, and is his only foray into the mythos of werewolves. This story revolves around the residents of the fictional town of Tarker's Mills, which is being terrorized by a werewolf who, unbeknownst to the townfolk, is in fact the local Reverend, Lester Lowe. Although according to legend, werewolves can only be harmed by silver bullets, this werewolf is ultimately destroyed by getting shot in the eye by a bottle rocket fired by a crippled boy in a souped up wheelchair given the moniker "the Silver Bullet". It was adapted into the screenplay "Silver Bullet", and the motion picture was released in 1985, directed by Daniel Attias.
