Crusader (Album)

Crusader is the debut album by New Zealand rapper Scribe. Released in October 2003 in New Zealand, it has achieved quadruple platinum status in that country.

Chart success

Scribe recorded his debut album Crusader in 2003 and it was released in New Zealand on October 18 2003 by dirty records with distribution through Festival Mushroom Records. The album went gold within hours and platinum within days. It has so far sold 65,000 copies in New Zealand which is quadruple platinum status in that country. The album has also had several highly successful singles released off the album in New Zealand including:
  • The songs "Stand Up" and "Not Many" were sold as one single which spent 12 weeks as number one, a record for a New Zealand artist in 2003. Stand Up / Not Many was also recognised as #1 on the Annual Top 50 Singles Chart 2003 published by the RIANZ. Stand Up / Not Many has also made the Australia ARIA singles charts in May 2004 - a remix of the single has sold 20,000 copies in New Zealand achieving double platinum status.
  • "Dreaming" which was another number single in 2004.
Crusader was released in Australia in January 2004 and reached the top 20 of the urban music album charts for that country during the early part of that year.
