Cripes

Cripes is a word often used to express shock or dismay. For example, "Cripes, I didn't expect you to purchase such a large lemon." The word is a euphemism for Christ. It sometimes is used in the phrase "for cripes' sake." The word "cripes" is becoming common amongst some British young people, particularly those who consider themselves to be geeks.
