Counterwise Wine

Counterwise wine is a fictional alcoholic beverage in the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. The wine is made from fictional reannual grapes, which are planted after being harvested. The effect of Counterwise wine is to inebriate before drinking the wine, meaning the person who drinks it will have a hangover (or hangunder) before they do so. Thus it is recommended by the characters in the books to drink a lot to recover from its effects, hence the expression "Have a hair of the dog that is going to bite you". The wines are much sought after by fortune-tellers.
