Count Your Sheep

Count Your Sheep is a web comic written and illustrated by Adrian Ramos, generally known as Adis. It was launched in 2003 as a Keenspace comic. The comic focuses on Katie, a young child; Laurie, her single mother; and Ship, Katie's (and also Laurie's) imaginary friend and counting sheep. The comic draws inspiration from Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes, possibly due to the similar setups of both comics. Its coloring style, a palette of soft blues, is one of the peculiarities for which its fans enjoy it. Ship was also Laurie's imaginary friend and counting sheep when she herself was a young child; these scenes sometimes appear as "Count Your Sheep: Back in Time" comic strips, but in a palette of soft purples instead of blues. While still being primarily a humorous comic, there is some plot involving Katie's father and the characters' struggles as a single-parent family.
