Corinth is a town located in Yell County, Arkansas. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 65.

Geography

Corinth is located at 35°3'28" North, 93°25'54" West (35.057769, -93.431629). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 8.4 km² (3.2 mi²). 8.1 km² (3.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 4.00% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 65 people, 25 households, and 18 families residing in the town. The population density is 8.0/km² (20.8/mi²). There are 29 housing units at an average density of 3.6/km² (9.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 96.92% White, 0.00% Black or African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 3.08% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 24.62% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 25 households out of which 24.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.0% are married couples living together, 8.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.0% are non-families. 28.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.60 and the average family size is 3.22. In the town the population is spread out with 21.5% under the age of 18, 12.3% from 18 to 24, 24.6% from 25 to 44, 26.2% from 45 to 64, and 15.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 124.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 131.8 males. The median income for a household in the town is $28,125, and the median income for a family is $44,375. Males have a median income of $16,607 versus $19,167 for females.
