Copiague Harbor is a town located in Suffolk County, New York. South of Merrick Road (or Montauk Highway), off of South Great Neck Road lies this highly affluent neigborhood Copiague Harbor, a private community. It is distingushed from Copiague, although still shares the same ZIP Code. The idea from it's conception in the late '60s was to be a private communtity, both gated and guarded in addition separate from Copiague. The community offers a private mini-beach and mini-marina to the deeded homes within itself known as Great South Bay Estates. For time to time residents have thought about adding the gate and guard to the community as originally intended. The median income for a household in Copiague Harbor is $150,000 and the median income for a family is $250,000. The downfall to this community is the school-district in which case most residents choose to send children to private schools.
