Control (Song)

"Control" is a song released by the heavy metal group Puddle of Mudd. It was released in July, 2001 (see 2001 in music). "Control" is about vain people. This song was very appropirate for Wes Scantlin at the time . He was just in a relationship with a woman and things were not working out. It was also a 1986 hit song for pop music diva Janet Jackson. The fourth in a group of six hit singles off her album of the same name, it talked of her wanting to win control away from family. It was one of the most pivotal moments captivated off the album and showcased a female streak of independence that would soon be led by Destiny's Child nearly 20 years later.
