Conte Giorgio Magro

Born in Malta and dying in Rome. Born to a landed gentry family of Malta, his parents sent him off to the Papal States to join the Army. Most well to do families did this to their sons to gain fame and fortune to their family. Giorgio raised thru the ranks serving in the Papal Army and retired as a Captain and was created a Count in 1730 by the Pope. Giorgio had married to Caterina di Susa, the illegitimate daughter of the Marchese di Susa. and his children married into Southern Italian and Maltese nobility.
