Comser

Liero Community Service

ComSer is short for Liero Community Service. It is used to distribute news and information to the Liero community regarding Liero and its numerous sequels. It also presents a poll with Liero-relevant questions. ComSer was started in 2001 (preceded by The Liero Poll) by Ulvhockey (nowadays ulv). The current form was coded by Durandal. A rewrite of the code was performed by Gliptic (from Perl to PHP) but it has not yet been set into action. ComSer has suffered violent blows of misfortunes at several times. Twice the hosts it was running on have been lost. The ComSer also struggles with low numbers in the target group. ComSers purpose was and still is to bind all the lose ends of the Liero Community together. At the launch of the ComSer Forum (CSF) the popularity grew rapidly. However, the crash of the servers hard drive prevented it from ever reaching the desired popularity. In november 2004 it was once more restored on a new host, however, it was once more lost in a data transfer operation. Exact circumstances unknown. Admins of ComSer: ulv, Gliptic, patrys (on leave), durandal (retired).
