Communications In Niue Internet service Niue has commercial Internet service through a government agency, Telecom Niue. Non-commercial and government Internet service is free (see below). .nu Internet domain Niue, through an outside company, registers Internet domain names, so most .nu Web addresses are not actually located in Niue. From June 23 until October 13, 2003, Niue was the first country in the world to offer free nation-wide WiFi Internet access, using the funds provided by the domain registrations.
