More than one trophy is named "Commonwealth Cup".

American football

The Commonwealth Cup is a football game played by Virginia and Virginia Tech each Thanksgiving Saturday to see who gets the bragging rights to the state in football. Currently, Virginia Tech holds the cup (winning in November 2004, 24-10).
Previously, Virginia had the cup in 2003.
Before that Virginia Tech had held the cup for a string of four consecutive years starting in 1999 and ending in 2002.

Related cups

The same name is used for an annual polo charity match in Goochland County. A Richmond, Virginia, firm sells pewter cups using the same name.

There has been a Commonwealth Cup Late Model Race at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway.

Another Commonwealth Cup has been created for winning in Wellington, New Zealand.
