Coma (Novel)

The novel Coma writtin by Robin Cook in 1977 was his first publication. The book was a New York Times best seller and was also voted as the number one thriller of the year by the New York Times.

Synopsis

Susan Wheeler is the main character in the novel. The young medical student discovers numerous cases of patients at Boston's Memorial Hospital, in which after being under the knife they do not wake up. These patients are in a coma and something is very wrong with the anesthesia where the victims suffer irreversible brain damage. Dr. Wheeler risks her life in finding out the horrifying reason why the patients are suffering.
