Columbia International College

Columbia International College of Canada is a private school in Hamilton, Ontario which is inspected and registered with the Ontario Ministry of Education. Columbia International College began in 1979 by catering to foreign students wanting to graduate from a North American secondary school. Its initial small west end campus was located at the former Ainslie Wood School, a junior vocational school operated by the Hamilton Board of Education. It claims to be the largest private boarding university-preparatory school in Canada, with 1,500 students from 48 countries. Its facilities include a teaching campus and residences in the west end, a satellite residential campus downtown, and a 700 acre centre for outdoor education and leadership training at Bark Lake, north of Toronto. Columbia International College is a member of the Federation of Independent Schools in Canada, Independent School Associations of Ontario and the Industry-Education Council of Hamilton.
